Red George Properties Terms of Use and Booking Conditions

Welcome to Red George Properties. By using our website and making a reservation, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. General Provisions

Red George Properties provides boutique accommodations in historic buildings located in downtown Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Red George Properties reserves the right to update, modify, or revise these terms at any time without prior notice.

2. Booking Eligibility

Reservations may only be made by legally adult individuals.

Guests are required to provide accurate and truthful information when booking.

Red George Properties reserves the right to refuse reservations in cases of:

  • fraud,
  • false information,
  • violation of property rules,
  • suspicious activity.

3. Payment

Full payment is typically required at the time of booking confirmation.

Accepted payment methods may include:

  • credit cards,
  • Stripe,
  • Hostaway Payments,
  • e-transfer,
  • cash (by prior arrangement).

Payment terms may vary depending on the booking platform or individual agreements.

4. Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellation policies may vary depending on the booking platform (Airbnb, Expedia, VRBO, etc.) or direct booking terms.

Red George Properties reserves the right to review refund requests on a case-by-case basis.

Refunds are not guaranteed in cases of rule violations.

5. Check-In and Check-Out

Standard check-in: after 4:00 PM

Standard check-out: by 10:00 AM

Early check-in and late check-out may be available only with prior approval and subject to availability.

6. Property Rules

The following are strictly prohibited on all Red George Properties premises:

  • parties,
  • excessive noise,
  • smoking,
  • drug use,
  • illegal activities.

Quiet Hours:

9:00 PM to 7:00 AM

7. Rule Violations

Violation of property rules may result in:

  • fines,
  • additional cleaning charges,
  • compensation for damages,
  • immediate eviction without refund.

8. Smoking Policy

Smoking or use of prohibited substances anywhere on the property will result in:

Minimum $300 CAD fine

Additional charges for odor removal, deep cleaning, or related damages may also apply.

9. Pets

Pets are allowed only with prior approval

Maximum: up to 2 dogs

Guests must disclose pets in advance

Guests are fully responsible for any pet-related damages or additional expenses

10. Damages and Guest Responsibility

Guests are financially responsible for:

  • property damage,
  • missing inventory,
  • excessive cleaning,
  • odors,
  • pet policy violations,
  • additional service-related expenses.

Red George Properties reserves the right to recover costs through:

  • booking platforms,
  • payment methods on file,
  • direct invoicing.

11. Lost Keys / Lockouts

Additional service fees may apply for:

  • lost keys,
  • lockouts,
  • emergency access requests.

12. Force Majeure

In cases of:

  • emergencies,
  • technical failures,
  • severe weather,
  • utility disruptions,
  • double bookings,
  • unforeseen operational issues,

Red George Properties reserves the right to:

  • modify reservations,
  • provide alternative accommodations,
  • cancel reservations.

13. Limitation of Liability

Red George Properties is not responsible for:

  • guest personal belongings,
  • theft,
  • loss of property,
  • external circumstances,
  • service interruptions beyond reasonable operational control.

14. Governing Law

All disputes shall be governed by the laws of: Nova Scotia, Canada
